The ancient residence, with a sixteenth-century layout, belonged to the Counts Toccoli and was later purchased in 1866 by Marquis Luigi Lupo Meli Lupi di Soragna Tarasconi, who entrusted its renovation to the architect Antonio Citterio. The building, in refined neobaroque style, still preserves today the “Veranda” with three arches and the historical settings of the Villa and the “Annèxe“.
Inside, each room is a small treasure trove of history:
The Bocchirale, with views by Antonio Joli and precious seventeenth-century scagliola;
The Billiard Room, dominated by the imposing Meli Lupi Family Tree from 1899;
The Library, guardian of the surviving volumes of the Melziana Library in Milan;
The Hall, decorated with portraits, battles, and eighteenth-century Venetian furnishings;
The Dining Room, with still lifes by Felice Boselli and refined Chinese “Famille Rose” porcelain.
